Vlada Roslyakova's fan got a new found reason to be cheer about, She has a new cover. Its really rare to see Vlada gracing a cover, but this year she has had 3 and an increase of editorial, that means that she is getting more print job for us to see. Her new cover is ELLE Russia, they are two covers. One I'm guessing is the stand cover and the other one the suscribers cover.

This will probably be the last time we see Vlada with her Strawberry hair since she've dyed it Platinum blonde again.

Natasha by Solve Sundsbo and Panos Yiapanis

Muse magazine promised us for their number 19 edition all about Natasha Poly, as she's been the most coveted model of the last 3 seasons. The issue has two cover one shoot by Solve Sundsbo, the first one that features Natasha in a sort of karate, japanese warrior way and the other one shot by Panos Yiapanis, with the styiling of Givenchy's designer Ricardo Tisci.

Cover number two is the one I like the most, because I love the goth feeling of it. Its more simple, intimate and features Natasha a bit more than the other one, even thought Sundsbo is my favouirte photographer, Yiapanis's work for Muse is flawless.

The first time I saw Gucci's Fall 2009 collection my first thought was like, I like it, but that approval stage passed quickly as I continued seeing the w hole collection, so with the advertisement campaign the déja vù was unavoidable. The first image that we thought was gonna be the campaing was Anja Rubik's one with a purse,very simple, but it worked. The Anja campaing turned out to be a pre-fall campaing and slowly pictures of a new campaign emerged, pictures, that nobody was so pleased about. The first set of pictures was ok, but then a so called behind the scenes video appared on you tube, making a lot of people wondering if this campaign had a reason. I'll let you be the judge but I asure you my dear reader, that Gucci's trendsetting stage is past and whe are on a new era, an era that I am not so thrilled about, an era that follows what other designers make instead of making the trends by themselves. Why We Love Franz Ferdinand?

I've recently found myself with a new found love for unique old bands( Sex Pistols,Joy Division,Metallica,The Clash,Iron Maiden...) , but there's a band that is both new and unique: Franz Ferdinand. My love for this band is growing more and more, so I've decided to do a little tribute to them and the reasons I love them:

In 2004 New Musical Express magazine ranked the band's debut album "Franz Ferdinand" as the 38th best album of all time.
In 2004 MTV called "Take Me Out" as the Breakthrought Video of The Year
In 2005 they won 2 BRIT awards: Best Group and Best British Rock Act
The unique sound of the singles "Take Me Out" and "The Dark of The Matinée" stays in your head forever.
In 2006 the new album: You Could Have It So Much Better is released.
The single "The Fallen" is so catchy that you can't stop singing it after you've heard it.
Their new album: Tonight: Franz Ferdinand was realized on November 2008 and you can get it in a nearby store

Numéro Korea is a relatively new magazine, it was only published 12 editions and with the fashion world waiting for a stunning cover, Numéro Korea gives us a simple gem for us to talk about. The Model: Maryna Linchuk.

Maryna seems to have found her signature pose, because we've recently seen her doing the same pose(backstage picture with Zuzana Gregorova). She is barely wearing make up and the cover its a bit photoshopped(not too much, luckily). This is a thumbs up for both Numéro Korea and Maryna, keep the good job guys.

Its time for another campaign to show up and this time its Dolce & Gabbana's Vegas wives themed advertisement. Dolce & Gabbana has been one of my favourite brands, but, since the dissapointments of last season's campaign and the fall 2009 runway show, I wasnt expecting that much from this campaign. The surprise came to me when I saw MariaCarla Boscono rocking the outfits and the eyewear with her fierce attitude. The cast is completed by Edita Vilkeviciute and Heidi Mount.

For the first time in about 4 season Burberry drops the usual model line-up(Lily,Agyness, Alex) for a different model, 19-year-old Harry Potter actress Emma Watson. The actress is a fashion fanatic and she attends the shows in Paris for the Fashion Week and her new campaing was a bit of a shocker considering that she is only 19 and her fame is mostly because of a teen movie. The campaing, shooted by Mario Testino at Westmister, shows a very mature(and photoshopped) Emma with 3 male models. The ads do a bit of justice to Burberry's Fall 2009 and its way better than the previews ads( Spring 2009).

This year's Costume Institute Gala arrives with an special theme, Models! Yes,Models! Finally models get some recognition. They work har but they are outshined by Hollywood socialites and Reality Stars. What matter for me now and always are them, the models. The ones who look beautiful no matter what and make clothes and fashion more breath taking and intersting. Can you Imagine a world without models? I cannot.

Lily Donaldson: The british model was dressed by Narciso Rodriguez, a black short dress with Rodriguez's distintive cut.Not the best angle but that is Lily's first picture.

Daria Werbowy: she is the guest of Lancôme with Arlenis Sosa, I not quite sure about what she is wearing, no one has said it. Her amazing rock star attitude and her habitual sexiness make her a must see on advertisements and red carpet events.

Gisele Bündchen: The brazilian stunner is wearing the guest from Dior, We havent seen John Galliano yet but I'm sure she is wearing a modified version of a Spring Summer 2009 dress.

Sasha Pivovarova: The guest of Giambattista Valli shocked us with this outfit, breath taking for ones and dreadfull for other. I personally think that only Sasha could do this. Repeat: Only Sasha can pull off this outfit. Sasha's hair is a complete dissaster, I mean whats that it looks alive. The rest of the outfit fits her personality and She looks great to me. I'll get you get your own conclusions and share them with me.

Iman: Wow! No words for this woman, she is 50 something and look how stunning she looks, even better than any of this time models. The one who said that old models cant dress, clearly havent seen this woman.

We rarely get to see the same model in two different magazines... in the same month. Vogue Russia's cover features Magdalena Frackowiak and so does Numèro in their 102 edition. The covers are very different and Magdalena shows a unique versatility, its true that she was different hair colours but models are always changing colours.

Vogue Russia's cover is very colourfull, very accurate for the season. It looks like a beautiful propaganda and I would seriously buy any political propaganda if they'd featured a model like Magdalena. Numèro its quite different also very attractive, with the bleached hair and with a flower, we can say that she did great in both covers and with the magazines covers we are seeing for this month, we might call May the best month in magazines so far.

A Tribute to 5 Musicians That Passed Away To Soon

Recently I've listening to old band and its sad to know that some of this talented musicians died to soon. Imagine what it would be like if we live in a world were Kurt Cobain is still alive and playing. What if that fatal car accident in Sweden never had happend and Cliff Burton were still Metallica's bassist.

Kurt Cobain ( February 20, 1967- April 5, 1994) : we all know what happed here and how sad it was. Even If I was a little girl, Nirvana has been one of the most influential bands in rock, they were the pioneers of grunge with The massive sucess of "Smeels Like Teen Spirit" we all thought that we will be lucky enough to have this amazing band for more time. On a tragic april 5 Kurt Cobain dies by disputed reasons and leaves us all with nothing more than a letter. Kurt we love you,rest in peace.

Sid Vicious (May 10,1957-February 2, 1979): This great bassist was part of one of the most influential bands in rock history: The Sex Pistols. He was the attitude of punk music according to many biographies. He died at the age of 21.

Dimebag Darrell(August 20, 1966- December 8, 2004): I know that mostly of the people that don't listen to metal dont know this guy. He was one of the most influential guitarrist of the early 90's with his band Pantera. His solo for the song "Cemetery Gates" Is one of the best solos ever recorded. His job with Pantera was so great that critics named "Vulgar Display of Power" one of the albums you should hear before you die. Dimedag was killed by a mentally ill fan in a concert at the age of 44.

Ian Curtis(15 July, 1956- 18 May, 1980): Joy Division's lead singer and vocalist . He was a huge Sex Pistols fan and today Joy Division still one of people's favourites band and their songs are timeless. Ian died at the age of 23.

Cliff Burton(February 10,1962-September 27, 1986): This is the saddest history of all because Cliff was no drug user and he didnt kill himself, the reason of his dead was a car accident in Sweden while he was touring with Metallica at the age of 24. Cliff is still one of the greatest bassist, he was part of the greatest Heavy Metal album: "Master Of Puppets" and his legacy will live now and forever.

Guess Who is The New Valentino Girl?

Have you guessed already? well, let me tell you: Its Siri Tollerod, a favourite of mines. I never thought she'll land a Valentino advertisment of any kind but seems like this is the only good thing that I like about their new designers. The campaing was shooted by Glen Lunchford is an especial edition of the Rock and Rose parfum. It features Siri in a black and white picture with the Valentino red for the Parfum's name. I dont think that is going to be a TV spot but this campaign is gorgeous, maybe we'll see her on the main label advertisemt, who knows? only time will tell.

Let me introduce my new found model: Karolin Wolter, she is german. Karolin was born on February 26, 1991 in Germany. She used to have Dark blonde but her hair has been recently dyed into blonde. With an height of 1.81, she has booked at Hermès and in Nina Ricci at Paris Fashion Week. She is with Supreme Models, Keep an eye on Karolin. I'm sure she'll be a star soon.

Its Here! I'm going insane. Finally some models in the Cover of Vogue US and they are not just some models they are the it girl according to Steven Meisel and I say according because I'm not completely agree with Isabeli on the cover but that is not my issue. Its a beautiful cover even better that the 2007 one, when we couldnt even see the models faces.
On the front cover are Top Models Natalia Vodianova and Liya Kebede with a fresher face: Anna Maria Jagodzinska. The pull up cover features Isabeli Fontana(I couldnt desagree more), Lara Stone(wich is a surprise because she is Vogue Paris's Carine Roitfeld favourite but this made her the model of the last years, she is unnstopable.),Jourdan Dunn(clearly photoshoped but very beautifull still),Raquel Zimmermann(beautiful but very far behind),Caroline Trentini(another suprise) and Natasha Poly( YES! I'm so happy for her, she is one of my favourites models and she is so beautiful, she totally deserved this).

Every month Vogue Italia makes us wait more than any other magazine, always 2 or 5 days after the start of the month when we already now the covers and editorials of every magazine even a month before the month arrives. Waiting for Vogue Italia might be stressfull but it never dessapoints. Steven Meisel always bring us something new and its probably this year wasnt been the best Vogue Italia we've seen but this new editorial photographed by Mark Seliger and with one of my favourites models Tanya Dzihileva, its very easy to watch and at the same time very high fashion. Its probably an editorial that we could see in Vogue US but its worth it because we rarely see Tanya and Agnete in that magazine.

Fall 2009 Favourites(13/13): Jean Paul Gaultier

I saved my favourite show for last, Jean Paul Gaultier show in Paris. Gaultier and McQueen were the Shows of the season and when I saw shows is because they were so entertaining. The Gaultier's collection based on a Paris cabaret featured models wearing milataries suits and others dresses like vedettes. The initial and final part of the show were as Gaultier's usual a show, the initial was the natural scene of a parisian cabaret and the ending a fight beetween model Coco Rocha and Patricia Schmid. The High waist ruled in this show again, masculine outfit, combat boots and classy dresses made Gaultier's collection this season's best show.

No one can't deny the amazing progress that the Muleavy sisters had they started as one of New York's little new shows and now its one of the most waited shows. After they apeared on Style.com's best collection all the eyes are in their designs, the Mulleavys havent let down any one. For this season they were inspired on mother earth and stones with high waists and boots, ones of the most popular trends for the season. Weird Jackets and a colour palette full of nature's colours. The Rodarte show was one of the most expected and it did not desapointed.

Ruffian is one of New York's most promising designes and the new favourites of many and for Fall 2009 they did a very easy to look collection with an obvious preppy insipiration. The US's Catholics schools use uniforms and we can see that the Ruffian duo was inspired by that. A collection that I'll love to see on Gossip Girl with Blair Waldorf wearing it. The Polka Dots things were really lovely and The high waist that is one of this season's basic trends. Ruffian is a brand with a lot of future but we can't deny that the future of fashion is happening now with this new wave of talented young designers.

Italian fur house Emilio Pucci has a new designer:Peter Dundas, the norwegian that used to work at a french brand. He take the legacy of Matthew Williamson and turn it for his own good. Its been a while since I like a Emilio Pucci collection because honestly colour is not my forte but the incredibly mix of bolt and opaque colour of this collection left me drooling. The hight boots are now one of the people's must have for the next season, the shoes very beautiful too. The fur use was obviously present at the show, in a mixed way. The dresses were red carpet worthy and the venue of the show was very simple it even seemed like a photoshoot but no It was a runway and the models walked in a very energic way almost like the ones that you see at Versace.

Since Christophe Decarnin took over the French house of Balmain it became one of my new favourites, his amazing way of putting pieces together and his great talent make Balmain one of the most anticipated collection every season. The exclusive walk of Erin Wasson was unexpected but pleasent; Angela Lindvall and Carmen Kass also walked the show. The continous use of the long tails is simple amazing and for this season and for the previous ones its cool to say that we love Decarnin for Balmain.

John Galliano's Fall 2009 show featured all the place Imagination can go: Ukranian Virgins and Ancient Greek. With an overwhelming light changing stage at the beggining and the dramatic music, the models displayed a show full of transparencies, Metallic Head pieces,sky high heels and a dramatic Makeup made Galliano's show a must see at Paris Fashion Week and with a large amount of people saying that Dior couture should be like this after John's lack of craziness for the other brand. He takes us to his world, a world when anything can and will be posible.

A Gothic- themed show, that was one of the highlight of Paris Fashion Week. Since Ricardo Tisci entered the Givenchy house back in 2005 we've seen his goth extravaganza for couture and for Ready To Wear and this season is no exception: Black,beige and white was the official colour pallette of the show. Fur and feathers were also present. A collection that might not be as comercial as some people wanted to but we fashionistas are thrilled to see Tisci's talent season by season.

Who would have guessed that this brand will end up in Style.com's top ten list of Fall 2009 shows, I wouldn't.This London based brand show us a whole bunch of new talent, they were a breath of fresh air in a recension-friendly atmosphere.Erdem, who I like to call London's Christian Lacroix because of the amazing use of colour and shape. The Colour palette of this show was simply exquisite, it was actually one of the few shows that used a lot of colourfull dresses like a happy collage that cheer you up even if you are deppresed,Erdem is one of the brands that will have a remarcable future, the ones of make us happy to see new talented designers with fresh minds and great attitudes.

Albert Elbaz said that we doesn't like when people tag a designer as pessimist or optimistic, He likes keeps things realistic even when he is desining one of the most expected shows in Paris Fashion Week: Lanvin. Even with his declarations Lanvin was entertaining show with an oustanding finalle,with all the models coming out without the classical line-up but with a funny walk throught the runway.The show that is always on every Best Shows List of every blog or page even magazine featured a retro vibe, that was present at mostly of the shows this season. Full of high waist,large gloves and fur Elbaz's view of this fall collection is a to keep the retro look for nowadays women.

For a long time Missoni keeped on showing us the same things:coats and prints but for this season Angela Missoni took a very diferent way,layers and knitwear. The Stylist of this show was for me the best one of the whole season, because, layers put together in a wrong way means disaster even with exquisite pieces.The Knitwear+Layers combo make us be ready for the really cold days that will come for this fall and If you have seen an Arabic themed movie, you'll notice the similaties in the styling and clothing.

I certainly don't think that anyone in this world is compared to Alexander McQueen. His weird science of making memorable collection out of recicable objects, and the fact that nobody can predict what he is going to do. The designer, did a remarcable collection including a make-up hard to swallow but everything else it just wondelfull. How did you start modeling?
I left Slovakia at the age of 15 in hope of starting a career in Paris, Milan or NY. My departure was very painful, my mother was crying and I was scared but determined to make it.

You travel a lot, many times probably alone. What are pros and cons of those travels?
I see lots of new places which i probably wouldn't as non-model, I meet new people and I think I learn everyday something new. The biggest con are the airports. My luggage is often too heavy because i bring with myself lots of clothes and makeup. That's why I have problems with employees sometimes because they are not so nice.
What do your friends and other people in Slovakia think about you - that you're a star or just a normal girl?
Lately I'm often in magazines and newspapers. When I'm at home (Slovakia) they find (journalists) me and write about me (for example: what does my day look like). My mom is sometimes really angry, she says they don't leave me alone even when I'm on vacation but it doesn't bother me. I see my old friends, my family,... I really miss them. And I also have school in Slovakia...
Is there any time left for studying?
Not so much but I'm trying. The problem is I rather spend my time to go on a coffee with my friends than with my books.
Which city or which fashion week is your favorite?
NY although I was freezing on the last one...It was terrible! After NY FW is Milan where everybody is nice and the food there is excellent.
Did you want to become a model as a child?
I never really dreamed about this business, everything came really naturally. In one moment it became very clear to me I can become a model and I knew I wouldn't have a real career in my home country. The price for fame and success is high but overall I know it was worth it.

Lacroix always pull off a really good show with a stunning colours and shapes but this show wasnt that colourful. The colour palette consisted in Brown,Pink,Different tones of Green,White and obviously black. For Fall 2009 Lacroix presents lace for the Leggins and Shoulders.

Big coats with great figure and a very elegant make up that takes us to a comercial but still very well created show.

The Show also features one of this season trends: Fur( featured in Dior,Givenchy...) in rich colours and black ruffles that give an retro vibe.

John Galliano Impressed us with a Asian/Indian fulled show that was the best Dior has brought to us in the past years(when Galliano started that 80's themed show) and we can saw that this is the end of Dior's going throught the eras and coming back to where we like, who knows maybe in the next season we are gonna be judges of the return of craziness. A show that features breath-taking dresses(Like the Gorgeous Pink one with Georgina Stojilkovic),Amazing Shoes,Great Acessories,an amazing Makeup(with killing eye lashes), Hats,fur and many more...

The Show was opened by Slovakian stunner Michaela Kocianova and Closed by British beauty Lily Donaldson.

The Editorial is not wonderful or gorgeous, it's actually boring and the styling is bad but I got to admit that stam looks absolutely gorgeous with her blue-greyed eyes. I'm glad she is back.

The Cover itself is very simple, its seems like a polaroid and theres a little bit to text anyways Numéro Tokyo is a good magazine and Stam looks so pretty with those eyes. It proves that a magazine can be simple but at the same it can be beautiful!
This is also Stam's first cover in over year, can you believe it? it was so strange not seeing her after all the time she was everywhere from Dior ads to the cover of British and Italian Vogue. Last year she dissapear and also gained some weight, thank god she is back to her figure and to her supermodel steps.

Gossip Girl's Blake Lively in a Marc Jacobs dress.Honestly I think she looks quite chic even if I would Rather to see Leighton Meester, Blake looks really good in here and she is not smiling which is something usual in the Vogue US covers.

Theres a huge discussion about if Blave Deserves the cover. She Does? She Doesn't? you know I think is refreshing not to see Kate Hudson or Jennifer Aniston with an "honest" smile and if Blake deserves the cover or not. theres nothing we can do about it!

I like it but I'm not a fan of Anna Selezneva's face even if her cover for Vogue Paris was awesome,the best of 2008, her eyes where stunning.In the other hand is Viktoriya Sasonkina, a gorgeous girl that is also starring in Prada's campaign her Vogue Italia cover for september 2008 was really pretty. And for last is Anna Maria J. she is pretty; I'm a fan of her somedays other I'm not.

hehe! I love this ads! they are really cool, like a collage. Natasha looks stunning as usual. I personally rather the left picture,those sunglasses are really pretty!
I did also found Joop!'s catalogue featuring two of my favorites models. Kim Noorda and Toni Garrn.
In the case of Kim Noorda, i believe she is so underrated,because you rarely see her and to me she a relli good model!

Was this in a bloody café store? cause the background was hideous. After all I'm not talking about Karl Lagerfeld,I'm talking about Mr.Zac Posen, who never impress me, but in the same way always pull an at least acceptable show. I like the vintage feeling of this show,even if some pieces were a copy(or quite a like) to some from Dolce & Gabbana FW 08(the one that Jessica Stam wore for example).the show was quite... hmmm...boring,but was all right for a resort collection. I like the fact that Mr. Posen did used a ¨runway¨instead of studio pictures.thanks for that.

Burberry's Pre-Fall collection is quite alike the Fall 2008 and SS 2009 collection, seems like L.S. Lowry really inspired Chritopher Bailey.
